Multifuel stoves in the North of Scotland

The New Cottager
The Cottager multifuel stove The Cottager is an individually hand-made stove, crafted in heavy-duty cast iron throughout, and firebrick lined for long life. This attractive stove is a genuine wood-burner, and, with detachable grate and ashcan, also 'multifuel' (i.e. suitable for wood, coal or peat).
This stove has double independently controllable clear window air-wash valves. This clever arrangement provides control and regulation of the degree of burn on either side of the stove in order to obtain the required balance. This fine stove also has a controllable environment valve which promotes powerful secondary combustion, keeping your chimey and your enviroment cleaner!
This is a highly effective modern stove, but with a glorious 'Olde Worlde' look. Everything has a function: the mouldings and thermal texturing add visual appeal, but the purpose is to expand the surface-to-air contact, and thus increase the heat output.

The Viceroy multifuel stove The 'VICEROY' is a fine multifuel stove, suitable for the larger room. Like all the 'Longlife' range of stoves, it is hand-built, using special formula cast iron sections, bolted together.
The wonderful 'olde-world' appearance of the moulding is achieved by using age-old sand casting techniques.
It has easy control spinwheels and air-wash glass clear facility. The chimney damper can be fitted for either top or rear flue arrangement.
It is lined with replaceable durable firebricks, and comes with removable coal-grate, riddler and ash-can, also a log retaining portcullis front for when wood only is being burned.

The 'Poacher' has a removable coal-grate, and is firebrick lined. The secondary updraught 'clean-burn' combustion ensures high burning efficiency. It has moulded textured thermal surfaces which increases heat radiation. The flat top allows ample surface area to boil a kettle, even if the flue is taken off the top outlet instead of the rear.
Now with airwash control! Click on the picture for full description and price.

The Studio range
The Studio multifuel stove These stoves are ideal for the smaller space. A good 'POT BELLY' stove (like ours) should have a damper control on the top of the smoke exit.
