The Poacher
The "POACHER" Stove is of British design, hand-made in heavy duty special "flexible" silicon cast iron. Like all the stoves in the 'Longlife' family, the Poacher will outlive most other makes of stove.
The only noticeable difference between the 'Poacher' and the 'Crofter' is that the 'Poacher' has a slightly larger window, and two air control valves instead of the single spin-wheel utilised by the 'Crofter'.
Like the 'Crofter', the 'Poacher' has a removable coal-grate, and is firebrick lined. The secondary updraught 'clean-burn' combustion ensures high burning efficiency. It has moulded textured thermal surfaces which increases heat radiation. The flat top allows ample surface area to boil a kettle, even if the flue is taken off the top outlet instead of the rear.

This stove is very similar in performance to the "CROFTER" stove, and is often supplied as an alternative, as there is so little overall difference. Both utilise 5" flue outlets on top or to the rear, and use high-tech pyro-ceramic glass in their windows.
